Police have registered a case against the management of an apartment in connection with the death of a boy by stepping on a power line in Vadavalli, Coimbatore.
Lakshmanan, a boy, was playing in the park of a private apartment complex on Thondamuthur Road in Vadavalli area last night when he was electrocuted after stepping on a power line. The boy’s parents, Pradesh and Sukanya, lodged a complaint at the police station, alleging negligence on the part of the housing administration. Police who later arrived there seized the boy’s body and sent it to Kuray.
However, the parents alleged that he was late in filing the case. In this regard, the police have registered a case against the gardener, electrician and apartment management under Section 304A, i.e., causing death from negligence.
