The word glampin is a valid adaptation of Anglicism glamping, acronym formed from of glamorous (‘glamorous’) y camping.

In the press you can find phrases such as “What is glamping: the new way to combine adventure and luxury”, “A unique glamping on a dream Galician island” or “Last-minute getaway: seven glamping sites to disconnect in the middle of nature” .

According to the Collins dictionary, the term glamping designates ‘a form of camping in which participants enjoy the amenities associated with a more luxurious type of tourism’. Its adaptation in Spanish, in accordance with the rules of the Spelling of the Spanish languagees glampin, finished in -in. The plural is glampingthe same as it happens with countryside (plural of countryside). There is also an expression in Spanish that could be used to refer to these spaces: luxury camping.

In this way, in the previous examples it would have been preferable to write “What is glamping: the new way to combine adventure and luxury”, “A unique luxury campsite on a dream Galician island” and “Last-minute getaway: seven glampings to disconnect in the middle of nature”.
