MUMBAI: The World Gold Council reported that the global demand for gold has decreased by 8 per cent to 948.4 tonnes during the April-June period last year.

It has been reported that this may be due to tightening of currency and measures to increase the value of the dollar.

The demand for gold is decreasing year by year due to gold electronic trading fund called ETF. In the report published by the World Gold Council on the world gold demand in the second quarter of 2022, it is said that the demand for gold in the second quarter of 2021 was 1,031.8 tons.
