The World Health Organization has confirmed that monkeypox will not turn into an epidemic like the Corona virus because there is a vaccine for it, noting that countries should be transparent by announcing infections if they occur.
And “Al-Arabiya Channel” quoted the Director of Epidemiology at the World Health Organization, Abdel Nasser Abu Bakr, as saying that awareness must be given to monkeypox disease and how to deal with it.
He said that his vaccine exists and is effective for infected cases and has been approved, but it needs tests.
He added that the organization advises to vaccinate only infected cases and those in contact with them.
He stressed that no country is immune from the danger of monkeypox spreading, calling on all Arab countries to prepare to monitor any infection.
