The board of directors of Global Insurance Limited, a listed company in the insurance sector, has announced a 10 percent dividend for shareholders. Its all cash dividends.
This dividend has been declared for the shareholders after reviewing the audited financial report for the financial year ended December 31, 2023. Shareholders will get a cash dividend of Rs 1 against each share worth Rs 10.
On Wednesday (August 21), this information was revealed by Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE) sources.
Earlier, the company’s board of directors meeting held on Tuesday (August 20) decided to pay the cash dividend after reviewing and approving the audited financial report of the latest year.
The annual general meeting (AGM) of the company will be held on October 26 to approve the declared dividend to the shareholders. The record date for distribution of declared dividend to shareholders is set at 1 October.
The company’s earnings per share (EPS) for the year under review stood at Rs 1.38 as compared to Rs 1.63 in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
The company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) for the financial year ended December 31, 2023 was Tk 13.96.
In view of this corporate announcement, there will be no price limit on the trading of shares of the company on this day.
