Journalist Marcelo Cosme, who works for Globo News, made a publication on social networks defending the LGBT ideology as a form of political militancy. Upon receiving a counterpoint from a follower who emphasized biblical values, she reacted intolerantly announcing its blockade.
Marcelo Cosme is homosexual and lives in a civil union with doctor Frankel Brandão. In the publication made on Instagram, the global journalist stated that “being a fag is a political act”, reproducing the phrase of the Spanish philosopher Paco Vidarte.
In the rest of the caption, the journalist repeated one of the main mottos of the militancy, saying that “Brazil is the country that kills the most LGBT” and that lending “his voice and his face” to the movement would be a way of contributing to the end of the violence and fighting “hate”.
Faced with all this speech, a follower decided to make a counterpoint and ended up arousing the ire of the militant journalist: “God has called us to bear fruit not to be fruitless trees,” he wrote.
Marcelo Cosme’s reaction was immediate and intolerant: “Blocked!”. The proposed idea of promoting forms of combating “hate” was compromised due to the activist’s lack of flexibility in living with divergent thinking in the social media environment.
