Oscar Gluch will meet in the coming days with the professional manager of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Barak Yitzhaki, and with coach Vladan Ivic and will hear from them what their plans are for him. After the impressive tournament, the 18-year-old midfielder wants to understand what the mood is at the club today regarding him in order to make an informed decision regarding his future.
It is already clear to everyone that the offers on him will start flowing soon and therefore it will have to be a decision of both parties what is the best move for his career. Whether to do this year in Israel, or to go to Europe in the current window.
It should be noted that the decision is not that simple. Gluch should carefully choose his next destination to go to the right place where he can continue to develop, when in practice staying in Kiryat Shalom can benefit him if a coach like Ivica works with him, and at the end of the season after the World Cup, he can go to Europe at a young age. It will also be at a lower price than the numbers now being thrown into the air because it will already be with the last year of the contract and Maccabi Tel Aviv will not be able to demand sums as reported for example in England (9.3 million euros).
The most important thing for Gluch will be the minutes of the game. If he hears from Ivica that he is building on him for as many minutes of play as he started getting in the top playoffs last season, it could devour the cards. Maccabi Tel Aviv has been saying for weeks that they are building on it and that it is a project of the club, so such statements will have to go hand in hand with minutes on the grass. At the same time, if an offer does come from one of the big clubs that have been mentioned in the last two weeks, Maccabi Tel Aviv will not stand in the player’s way if he wants to move and understands that in these places he is given the opportunity to develop properly. The decision will be seriously considered one way or another.
On another issue, ONE learned that the departing Maccabi Tel Aviv coach, Mladen Krastic, has found a new goal for his career and will be the coach of the Bulgarian national team. After receiving offers from several places in Europe and rejecting them, such as partisan Belgrade and Lech Poznan, he chose to return to the role of national team coach and in two months will already make his debut on the lines. The team that worked with him at Maccabi Tel Aviv will join him in Bulgaria.
