1 packet active dry yeast 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 large egg, room temperature 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted 1 egg yolk, room temperature

1/4 cup ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt kosher
1/2 cup unsalted butter 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ingredients for the glaze

4 ounces cream cheese 2 cups powdered sugar 1 tablespoon heavy cream 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

Step by Step

You have to start by placing the milk in a large bowl. Add the three tablespoons of sugar and yeast and let it rest until bubbles appear, about five minutes. On the other hand, beat the egg, the yolk, the melted butter and the vanilla, adding it later to the mixture, with yeast and integrating it, little by little. The dough is placed there and spread with the help of the hands, forming a rectangle. Once this step is achieved, the filling is incorporated on the surface and spread well. It only remains to roll up using the parchment paper and put in the freezer for 20 minutes to harden.

Once this step has been passed, the trunk is cut into 12 rolls and placed on a greased mold. Cover with plastic wrap and leave to rest for an hour so that the dough softens. After the time has elapsed, they are baked at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes, until they are golden and puffed.
