Millions of people have become homeless due to severe floods
Jatiya Party (Japa) Chairman Gholam Mohammad Quader has expressed deep concern over the endless suffering of millions of people due to the severe floods in the north-eastern part of the country. He urged everyone to stand by the flood victims.
In a statement on Thursday (August 22), Japa chairman said, millions of people have become homeless due to severe floods. All the crops of the field, fish worth hundreds of crores of rupees were swept away by the flood. Millions of families have lost their furniture, businesses and pets. They are in endless trouble. We can’t sit by when people are in such trouble.
GM Quader requested to go to flood affected people with essential dry food, life saving medicines and baby food.
In the statement, he directed the Jatiya Party and its organs and affiliated organizations to provide necessary relief assistance to the flood victims. At the same time, Gholam Mohammad Quader also ordered to provide full support to the armed forces engaged in relief activities and the leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement.
