General Motors (GM) reported yesterday that it will reduce its workforce in the areas of software y services.

GM confirmed the information, but declined to give data on the number of people affected by the measure. By the end of 2023, GM had about 76 thousand salaried employeesa number that rose to 87 thousand if hourly paid workers are considered.

The company authorized a $6 billion share buyback program in June.
