The State Medical Officers Association started today in 5 districts
It is reported that the strike will continue island wide tomorrow.
The unions in Mannar, Trincomalee, Ratnapura, Nuwara Eliya and Polonnaruwa began their strike today.
Following this, it has been announced that a nationwide strike will be held from 8 am tomorrow.
The State Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has stated that it will go on strike to protest the release of the appointment list for 500 doctors by the Ministry of Health without the representation of the GMOA.
