Ponniyin Selvan : South Indian films are leading the list of highest opening day grossers in the history of Indian cinema.
Ponni’s Selvan is the hottest movie in India right now. Especially in Tamil Nadu, the film has huge expectations. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film is produced by Lyca on a huge budget. Ponni’s Selvan is releasing tomorrow in 5 languages as Pan India.
More than 90 percent of tickets are said to be sold on the first day at most venues. So far in the history of Indian cinema, only South Indian films have topped the list of highest grossing films on their first day of release. It is said that Ponni’s Selvan is also likely to join that line.
Accordingly, it is said that Ponni’s movie Selvan is likely to collect more than Rs.50 crore on the first day alone. Accordingly, in India alone, the film collected Rs. 25 crores and is likely to cross Rs 20 crores worldwide, according to box office sources.
