Exactly two weeks ago, in his last game before the isolation, Kevin Durant sent Philadelphia home. The big star bombed 34 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists that swept Brooklyn to a 105-114 victory over the Sixers, at the end of which he signaled Joel Ambide and his teammates to get off his hardwood. Tonight (Thursday-Friday) Durant returned to the same parquet at Barclays Center, again against Philly, except this time Ambide was the last to laugh.
At the end of a great battle in which Durant scored 33 and Ambide 34, Philadelphia defeated the Nets 102: 110. The two superstars got into a “trash talk” towards the end, which led to a technical foul for everyone, and as soon as buzzer Ambid was heard shouting at the hosts: “Go home!”. KD immediately looked back, smiled and straightened his thumbs instead of approaching the formidable chin.
At the press conference, the two made it clear that everything said between them was in a completely sporty spirit. “Joel did not cross the border,” he said Durant. “Every game between us is like this, even in the All-Star. We value each other so much, that the competitive fire in our son just comes out.”
Ambide He replied: “Brooklyn is the best team in the East, I respect them and Durant. That was my answer to his behavior in the previous game, I returned to him. We have a lot of mutual respect. I always tell people that if there is one player in the world more talented than me, it is without a doubt “Durant. I admire his game.” The Sixers are counting on three straight wins and they hold a 1: 6 balance in their last seven away games, with the average number of Ambide points in those games standing at no less than 36.
