The Casablanca-Settat region welcomed, on Monday 29 April, the second stage of the GO SIYAHA caravan.
Organized in partnership between the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and the Social Economy and Solidarity, the Maroc PME Agency and the Casablanca-Settat Regional Tourism Council, the event brought together a number of economic and tourism stakeholders engaged in the development and promotion of the sector in the sector. region.
The GO SIYAHA program, as part of the Tourism work plan 2023-2026, is committed to supporting tourism businesses in order to boost the sector and develop an innovative and diversified entertainment offer.
This stop in Casablanca is a reminder of the active role played by the region in achieving the objectives of this roadmap. Focused on three thematic sectors, especially MICE, City Break, and Culture Circuits, it is essential to enrich the entertainment offer within the region.
In that context, Hamid Bentahar, President of the National Tourism Federation, welcomed him “participating in the GO SIYAHA day in Casablanca, where we see strong enthusiasm from project leaders and stakeholders from the entire tourism ecosystem.”
“12 caravans with Regional Tourism Councils, federations and associations are being deployed in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and Social Economy and Solidarity and Maroc PME, to promote GO SIYAHA in the regions. I therefore ask all the operators to take an active part in this initiative in their respective regions, contributing to the increase of tourism professions.” he said.
It should be noted that since the launch of the program on 14 February 2024, a series of meetings have been organized in partnership with various economic and tourism stakeholders in several cities in Morocco.
These meetings attracted great interest from tourism entrepreneurs, consultants and technical experts, who showed a strong interest in the program because of the support it provides to tourism entrepreneurs.
Alongside this event, individual sessions were organized to support companies wishing to register for the programme.
Program TO BLACK
As part of the tourism roadmap 2023-2026, GO SIYAHA is a support program for tourism businesses that want to offer innovative entertainment products and establish their transition towards more sustainable and innovative practices. The program is structured around three support components, namely:
– Support for investment : GO SIYAHA offers bonuses for tourism animation and related accommodation projects, with rates of 30% to 35%, of the total investment amount.
– Expertise technique : The program supports up to 90% of the costs of services related to financial strategy, operational excellence, market development and digital transformation.
– Support for green growth : The program focuses on sustainable development projects in tourism, with an investment bonus of 40% of the total investment and coverage of 90% of the cost of advice and technical expertise in this area of sustainable development.
As a reminder, the GO SIYAHA program aims to support 1,700 tourism businesses by 2026, with an overall budget of 720 million dirhams.
