Goal chant: the other everyday life

by time news

On the first of the three days I had to go pick up my bike from its regular maintenance. After some errands I met up with my best friend, we had lunch for her birthday and had a few beers before saying goodbye. Afterwards we met up with my girlfriend and went to visit two friends. Food, gossip, laughter, jokes and some tears over sad stories that mark our families.

Day two was a Saturday for couples: walking around Chapinero, doing laps and fettuccine at our favorite restaurant. New books, one of them from a beautiful bookstore in Teusaquillo. A garden that hid her invited us to a simple dessert and a rather crazy pitcher of craft beer. Reading together, exchanging stories, returning home and eating pizza while watching Marcelo Gallardo’s new headache.

The third day? Absolute laziness. Going out just to walk Rolo, sleep, have breakfast, watch series and continue sleeping. Order lunch, a little more laziness, get ready and cross the city to get to our other family. Get ahead on final work tasks, try a new dish from my mother-in-law and make a list of an upcoming important event…

And so we went to rest. At that moment I settled into bed to write this account. Three “daily” days, if you can call them that, for those who participated in the first weekend we had without blue and white football on our agenda. Without an official match, I correct myself, because Millos never leaves our lives: women’s friendliesclothes, photos, plans for upcoming matchesA week without blue and white in a stadium or on television. A week in which we live that other life we have. What did you do without Millonarios?
