From April 22 to May 4 the “Godfather’s Basket” comes into force, while from April 24 to May 4 the “Easter Basket”. The “Lent Basket” will also remain in effect until May 4. According to the Ministry of Development, the “Easter Basket” is an extension of the “Household Basket”, as four new food categories are added.

“We support households in practice so that every family table is filled with the necessary goods at the lowest possible prices. “Initiatives such as the ‘Easter Basket’ increase competition between food businesses, to the benefit of consumers. With the “Godparents’ Basket” we help godparents and parents to buy quality toys at affordable prices, so that all children are happy during these festive days”, said Development Minister Kostas Skrekas.

In detail, the “Easter Basket” includes the following products:

Lamb – Goat – Tsoureki – Easter chocolate eggs and similar products

At the same time, 12 categories of products are included in the “Godparents’ Basket”, while consumers who are godparents or parents of small children are given the opportunity to make cheaper purchases during the Easter period.

In particular, the “Godfathers’ Basket” includes the following products:

Doll toys, dollhouses and other accessories (imitation toys)

Action figures

Construction and building games (eg brick games)
