Goheung-gun received an⁤ institutional commendation⁢ as the⁣ ‘nation’s best institution’ for operation and ⁤management of public wastewater treatment facilities. Goheung-gun (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that ⁢it was selected as the best (1st) management institution in the country in the⁤ ‘2024 Public Wastewater Treatment Facility Operation and Management Status Evaluation’ hosted by the Ministry of Habitat ⁢and will receive an institutional commendation and a⁣ reward of 15 million won.

In ⁢this evaluation, the⁤ Ministry of Environment evaluates operation and⁢ management performance and provides incentives too excellent ‍institutions. Treatment facilities in operation ⁤in 106 local⁢ governments nationwide are‍ divided‍ into three⁣ groups (Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ) according to capacity standards. , 1st to 3rd place for each group are finally selected thru ⁣the first evaluation by the basin (local) environmental office and the​ second evaluation by the Ministry of Environment review⁤ commitee on 27 items in three areas of operation ⁤and management.
