Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to increase the price of gold within a day after reducing the price. This time, Bajus has increased the price to a maximum of 2 thousand 916 taka. As a result, the price of a good quality i.e. 22 carat gold bar will be Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 74, which is the highest ever.

This information was informed in the press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Bajus Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee on Thursday (March 21).

According to Bajus, the price of acidic gold has increased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new prices will be implemented from tomorrow, Friday (March 22).

According to the new prices, the price of best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) is Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 74, 21 carat gold price is Tk 1 lakh 8 thousand 883, 18 carat gold price is Tk 93 thousand 312 And traditional method gold price will be 77 thousand 799 taka.

While the price of gold has increased, the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently 22 carat silver price is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat silver price is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat silver price is 1715 taka and traditional method silver price is 1 thousand 283 taka.

Earlier on March 19, Bajus reduced the price of gold. It came into effect on March 20. According to that price, the best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) per bari (11.664 grams) at Tk 1 lakh 11 thousand 158, 21 carat gold at Tk 1 lakh 6 thousand 142 per bari, 18 carat gold at Tk 90 thousand 989 and traditional method till Thursday. Gold is sold at 75 thousand 816 taka.
