Chennai: The price of gold continues to rise. A gram sells for Rs 5,208. According to the international economic situation, the price of gold in India fluctuates from time to time and is selling higher and lower.

It was sold at Rs.40,992 per pound on 22nd of last month. The next day on 23rd it fell to Rs 40,528. Then from 24th to 27th it was in the range of Rs.40,608 to Rs.40,688.

Later, the price of gold started increasing again. On 28th of last month, it increased to Rs.40,840 a pound and on 30th it increased to Rs.40,920. In this case, the price of gold increased again yesterday. In Chennai, the price of jewelery rose by Rs 17 to Rs 5,208 per gram and Rs 136 to Rs 41,664 per pound. Similarly, 24 carat pure gold is selling at Rs.44,880 per 8 grams.

Silver was selling at Rs 75 per gram yesterday. The price of silver per kilo bar is Rs.75,000. Jewelery buyers are worried as gold prices continue to rise.
