Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced the reduction of gold prices for the fifth time in a row this April. Last Sunday, the price of good quality gold was reduced by Tk 315. From now on, the price of a 22 carat gold bar has reduced to Tk 1 lakh 12 thousand 615. Earlier, the price was Tk 1 lakh 12 thousand 931. The new price has been implemented from 4 pm on Sunday.

This information was informed in a press release signed by Chairman Masudur Rahman of Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Sunday (April 28).

Earlier, in the current month, on April 20, 840 taka, two days later on 23 April, 3 thousand 138 taka, 24 April 2099 taka, 25 April 630 taka, 27 April 630 taka, and today on 28 April, good gold 315 taka has been announced. In five days, the price of gold has decreased by 6 thousand 813 rupees.

According to the association of gold traders, the price of acid gold has decreased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation.

According to the new prices, the best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 1 lakh 12 thousand 615, 21 carat gold is Tk 1 lakh 7 thousand 495, 18 carat is Tk 92 thousand 145. Traditional gold price has been increased to 76 thousand 632 taka.

While the price of gold has increased, the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1715 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.
