In Chennai, jewelery gold prices rose by Rs 176 to Rs 42,880 a barrel on Wednesday. Gold rose by Rs 22 to Rs 5,360 per gram.

Silver prices rose by 30 paise to Rs 74.80 per gram and bullion rose by Rs 200 to Rs 74,800 per kg.
