Gold prices rise in Baghdad and Erbil

/ On Monday, the prices of Iraqi and foreign gold witnessed a rise in the local markets in the capital, Baghdad, and Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.

Agency correspondent said that gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, recorded this morning a selling price for one mithqal of 21 karat Gulf, Turkish and European gold of 431 thousand dinars, and a purchase price of 427 thousand dinars.

Our correspondent indicated that the selling price of one mithqal of 21-karat Iraqi gold was recorded at 401 thousand dinars, and the purchase price was 397 thousand.

As for gold prices in goldsmiths’ shops, the selling price of a mithqal of 21-karat Gulf gold ranges between 435,000 and 445,000 dinars, while the selling price of a mithqal of Iraqi gold ranges between 400,000 and 410,000 dinars.

As for gold prices in Erbil, the selling price of a 24-karat gold mithqal was 505 thousand dinars, the selling price of a 22-karat gold was 465 thousand dinars, the selling price of a 21-karat gold was 445 thousand dinars, and the selling price of an 18-karat gold was 385 thousand dinars.

One mithqal of gold is equal to five grams.
