Gold Prices Rise in Baghdad, Decrease in Erbil

The prices of both foreign and Iraqi gold saw increases in the local markets of Baghdad, the capital, today, Wednesday. In Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, gold prices saw a decrease.
A correspondent reported that in the wholesale markets of Al-Nahr Street in Baghdad, the selling price of one mithqal (5 grams) of 21 karat gold (Gulf, Turkish, and European) was 433,000 dinars, while the purchase price was 429,000 dinars. The price of Iraqi gold was slightly lower, with a selling price of 403,000 dinars and a purchase price of 399,000 dinars.
Gold prices in goldsmith shops varied slightly. The selling price of a mithqal of 21-karat Gulf gold ranged from 435,000 to 445,000 dinars, while the selling price of Iraqi gold was between 405,000 and 415,000 dinars.
In Erbil, the prices were slightly different. The selling price of a mithqal of 24 karat gold was 503,000 dinars, while 21 karat gold and 18 karat gold were sold at 443,000 and 383,000 dinars respectively.
