The Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the famous Turkish film companies Skala Film Prodüksiyon and Tulpar Film signed a memorandum of understanding, the agency told Day.Az.
A memorandum of understanding defining joint activities in the direction of film production was signed by the acting general director of the Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Orhan Fikretoglu, and the chairman of the board of Skala Film, Ismail Beyazid.
According to the memorandum, it is planned to produce a joint film called “Qızıl qatarı” (Altun tren/Golden Train) in the near future. The plot of the film, which is planned to be shot in Azerbaijan, is dedicated to the relationship between Turkey and Azerbaijan at the beginning of the twentieth century.
Let us note that the financial part associated with the production of the film will be covered by the Turkish side. Turkish companies are investing in the Azerbaijani film industry for the first time.
