Held for two days starting on the 22nd
‘Golf Emperor’ Tiger Woods will participate in the PNC Championship, a PGA Champions Tour event, with his son Charlie Woods again this year.
The PGA Tour’s official social networking service (SNS) reported on the 11th (Korean time), “Woods and Charlie will participate in the PNC Championship held next week.”
Woods, who underwent back surgery last September, did not participate in the Hero World Challenge, a PGA Tour event hosted by the Woods Foundation that ended on the 9th, but will participate in the PNC Championship with his son.
Woods, who has only competed in five tournaments this year, including four major tournaments, plans to improve his practical sense through this tournament.
The PNC Championship will be held for two days starting on the 22nd at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.
This is a 36-hole family golf tournament in which professional players who have won major championships play in groups of two with their families.
A total of 20 teams, including father and son Woods, Bernhard Langer (Germany), and Nellie Korda (USA), are participating.
Woods is participating in this tournament with his son Charlie for the fifth consecutive year.
He took 7th place in 2020, runner-up in 2021, 8th place in 2022, and tied for 5th place last year.
