Europe won the 44th edition of the Ryder Cup, a biannual golf event which pits the best American and European players against each other, on Sunday near Rome. The Englishman Tommy Fleetwood offered the half point which allowed Europe to reach the score of 14.5 points, synonymous with victory, the 12th for Europe which has participated in the event since 1979.
