Patna: There is good news for those working in Bihar! Nitish government has released the holidays calendar for the year 2025. This time government employees will get 4 more holidays than last year. This time there will be a total of 40 holidays. The special thing is that on account of Guru Gobind Singh’s birth anniversary, there will be a holiday on both January 6 and December 27. Additional Chief Secretary of Cabinet Department, Dr. S. Siddharth said that in 2025, 21 holidays have been sanctioned under NI Act, 22 holidays under voluntary leave (out of which any 3 can be taken) and 16 holidays under government order. Let us tell you, 3 holidays of NI Act are falling on Sunday. Apart from this, there will also be a holiday on April 1 (Tuesday) for the annual closing of accounts. In 2024, the government employees of Bihar got a total of 36 holidays. There were 15 days of general holidays, 17 days of public holidays and 20 days of optional holidays, out of which 3 holidays could be taken as per one’s choice. In addition, one day annual accounting holiday was also included.
