Azerbaijan plans to abolish customs duties on the import of some cars with gasoline and diesel engines. This may have an impact on reducing car prices in the country.
As Day.Az reports with reference to xezerxeber.az, recently there has been a noticeable increase in the number of people buying cars abroad. This is due to the fact that such machines are cheaper than when purchased on the local market.

Economist Khalid Karimli noted that if there is a certificate of origin, cars imported from the Russian Federation, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Tajikistan are exempt from paying duties.
