The iPhone 16 Pro, which is preparing to be released this fall, will receive twice the amount of memory in the minimum version. Day.Az reports this with reference to the Macobserver portal.
The current iPhone 15 line offers only 128 GB of internal memory in basic versions. The only exception is the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which has a 256 GB drive. According to the source, the iPhone 16 Pro will also receive 256 GB of built-in memory.
At the same time, the base iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will apparently retain the capacity of 128 GB, which will not be enough for the flagships at the end of 2024.
Last year, Apple increased the minimum amount of memory in the iPhone 15 Pro Max to 256 GB, which affected the cost of the device – the smartphone went up by $100. Whether such a change in the iPhone 16 Pro will affect its cost, or Apple will keep the price tag at $999, is not reported.
According to rumors, the iPhone 16 Pro will receive a screen increased to 6.3 inches, and 16 Pro Max – up to 6.9. The current line uses displays with a diagonal of 6.1 and 6.7 inches, respectively. The presentation of the iPhone 16 is expected in September 2024.
