Muzaffarpur: Bike taxi facility has now started in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Transport Secretary Sanjay Kumar Agarwal said that this service will be started in 13 districts in the first phase. After this, it will be implemented in 25 districts in the second phase. Muzaffarpur DM Subrata Kumar Sen inaugurated this service by flagging off on Wednesday. In the first phase, apart from Muzaffarpur, bike and cab service will start in Darbhanga, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Gaya, Vaishali, Saran, Munger, Nalanda, Begusarai, Rohtas, Katihar and Kishanganj districts. Passengers will be able to book bikes and cabs through mobile app.

Bike taxi started in Muzaffarpur

With the start of this service, people will be able to travel easily. They will get a cheap and convenient option. This will also provide employment opportunities to the local people as drivers will be needed for the bike-taxi service. Apart from this, the transfer of the land of the Education Department for Patna Metro Station has also been approved. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has approved the transfer of 0.01318 acres of land of the Education Department for Patna Metro Station. For this, the Urban Development Department will have to pay one crore fifty-six lakh rupees. This land belongs to the Education Department, which is currently owned by Patliputra University and Commerce College.

Metro work is also in full swing

The state cabinet had approved the transfer of this land in a meeting held on August 6. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has also informed the Accountant General’s office about this. Patna Metro station will be constructed on this land located in Mauja Sadiqpur Yogi of Patna Sadar Zone. According to the order, “This land will not be used for any purpose other than Patna Metro. If this does not happen then the land will again come under the ownership of the government.”
