On Monday evening, the news came that NRK and Tore Strømy had ended their collaboration. Strømøy is known for the popular TV program “Tore på sporet,” which aired on Norwegian TV screens for many years. In the show, individuals who had lost contact with family members for various reasons were reunited.
Strømøy has been a profile at NRK for over 30 years.
– I love NRK and always will. I would have liked to be with NRK forever. But like in all love affairs, both parties must want each other. You cannot force yourself on someone who doesn’t want you. I have “heartbreak,” says Strømøy to VG.
When asked why he thinks NRK wants to end the collaboration, and if he understands it, he replies:
– That is for NRK to answer. I just deal with the situation as it has become.
According to NTB, both Medier24 and Dagbladet reported that Strømøy was supposed to go live on NRK Radio the same morning.
– It is true that we changed the host on “Godt selskap” yesterday. I believe it is not right for me to go into the details of the conversations with a contractor, says regional editor Eivind Undrum Jacobsen at NRK.
