With our hearts clenched and our fists raised, we send this message from the Colombian PST to the Peruvian party, to his life partner Simón, to his children and grandchildren and to all the members of the LIT-CI. We have lost one of those comrades that we can say essential, because she dedicated her entire life to revolutionary militancy.

Of Argentine nationality and formed by the Argentine PST, she was a true internationalist. She suffered the rigors of the bloody Videla dictatorship, which forced our brother party to act in hiding and hundreds of its revolutionary militants into exile to save their lives. Our party received dozens of them as one of us, welcomed them and helped in an atmosphere of brotherhood and camaraderie, to heal their wounds, those of the soul and those of the body, since many of them had been tortured.

This is how we met Noemí and many other comrades whose names we will always remember. Here we militate shoulder to shoulder, elbow to elbow, demonstrating that the revolutionaries, that the working class has no country, that we are one when we face our class enemies. Under the leadership of Moreno, we were one hundred militants for the construction of the Simón Bolívar brigade and for the triumph of the Nicaraguan revolution. Noemí also put all his efforts into this task. In those years, the headquarters of our party were raided by the police on the eve of the commemoration of the anniversary of the civic strike of 1977. In this raid, Noemí and more than twenty comrades were imprisoned by the regime, at a time when being an activist of the left ran the risk of disappearing. Shortly after and thanks to a strong and fierce international campaign, all our comrades were released.

In 1978, a group of Colombian PST militants, including Noemí, went to Peru to contribute to the construction of the Peruvian section of the LIT. This is how we were trained as professional internationalist cadres, as Lenin indicated, we had our luggage ready to go either to another region or to another country to build the alternative revolutionary leadership that the world working class so much needs, and we took root there. Noemí was a militant from Argentina, from Colombia, from Peru, but above all from the International, from the LITCI.

In recent years we had communication for some tasks, and we cannot forget the support that he gave us, together with other comrades of the PST of Peru, in a situation of solidarity with the son of a Colombian union leader close to our party who had difficulties in that country a little over a year ago. Our ties were strong and remained over time, demonstrating his solidarity and generosity at all times, as well as his revolutionary commitment.

The new generations of our International must know this history and honor it, not because of the cult of personality, but because these experiences teach us and are living testimonies of the profound meaning of being revolutionary and militants of proletarian internationalism, because we need like air to form militants convinced, brave and firm, to give their lives for socialism and the International until their last breath like Noemí and many other comrades who are no longer physically with us but who will always, always be with us.

Comrade Noemí, even socialism always!
