Record circulation in 2016, 200 million copies printed – Ansa /Courier TV

After 70 years, Ikea’s famous print catalog will no longer be published. “Consumer behavior has changed and fewer people are reading it,” the Swedish company explains in a statement. The catalog dated 2021 but released from summer 2020 will be the last to be distributed and has been printed in 40 million copies. The first was launched in Sweden in 1951 by the founder of the furniture giant, Ingvar Kamprad. It is among the most printed publications in the world and in 2016 reaches its record circulation. In that year, 200 million copies were printed, in 32 languages, distributed in more than 50 countries.
