Google is rolling out two updates for education users, letting creators export interactive Gemini apps directly into Google Sites without copying code and giving teachers new AI-driven insight summaries for assigned notebooks in Google Classroom.
Google is removing that engineering barrier by allowing users to push interactive creations straight from the Gemini app into Google Sites.
Building an interactive tool in a chatbot is one hurdle, but moving that experiment onto the web usually demands manual code copying or an entire rebuild.
Once a project is ready in Gemini, a user selects Export and then Google Sites. The workflow relies on a simple menu selection.
Creators can then adjust the surrounding layout, add explanatory text, and publish the result for others to view and use. The system generates a private site draft instantly with the app fully embedded and active.
Creators Push Gemini Apps Directly Into Google Sites
In a demonstration published by Google, the company showcased a team performance dashboard featuring interactive charts and progress indicators built directly inside the chatbot interface before moving to a web draft. The feature supports calculators, quizzes, and data dashboards.
The export option is live across the web, Android, and iOS. Availability is broad. It is open to Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal account holders who already have access to the Gemini app.

Educators View Automated Insight Summaries in Google Classroom
Educators can now view automated insight summaries that break down how students engage with assigned materials, following an update to the teacher-led Gemini Notebook in Google Classroom for formal education environments.
Teachers retain the ability to inspect individual chat transcripts to verify the accuracy of the AI-generated findings and check student context. The summaries highlight overall engagement metrics alongside common recurring questions, demonstrated student strengths, and areas where additional instructional support might help.
Students receive a clear notification whenever they use an assigned notebook, alerting them that their conversations are visible to their instructor.
The insights feature rolls out for Education Fundamentals, Standard, and Plus editions, with support for Gemini LTI users scheduled to arrive in the coming weeks.
Administrators Manage External Sharing Controls in Admin Console
Google Workspace administrators received new controls inside the Admin console to manage external sharing for Gemini Notebooks, alongside classroom visibility tools.
Schools can configure trusted domains to permit collaborative notebook assignments across different institutional boundaries.
Both teachers and students must have Gemini Notebook enabled within their designated organizational units to participate in assignments and view analytics.
