Google is reportedly planning to introduce a new “drag-and-drop” feature in the Chrome browser for Android devices. This functionality is already available in the desktop version of the Chrome application.
This new feature will save users time when sending or uploading content via the Chrome browser on their Android phones. As smartphones and tablets become more sophisticated, Google is extending the drag-and-drop functionality to the Android version of the Chrome browser.
The drag-and-drop feature is expected to debut in the Chrome for Android app for app developers version 129. Developers can then move files between different locations within the Chrome browser or transfer them to other applications.
The code for this feature has already been included in Chrome version 129, with the comment ”Enable DragDropFiles for M129.” It will be implemented by default, without requiring any user configuration.
