Tech giant Google has announced plans to spend €25 million on artificial intelligence (AI) skills training in Europe and other countries.

As Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru, this was reported in the official blog of the corporation.

The AI Opportunity Initiative is aimed at social enterprises and non-profit organizations, as well as companies that use AI to grow. €10 million of the above amount will be allocated for additional education of employees of these enterprises.

Google noted that studying and using the capabilities of neural networks helps combat economic inequality and unemployment.

“The new program will help people across Europe develop their knowledge, skills and confidence in AI, ensuring no one is left behind,” said Adrian Brown, executive director of the Google Center for Public Impact.

The AI Opportunity Initiative also includes expanding support for free basic AI courses to 18 languages. The courses consist of modules on introductory artificial intelligence skills.
