The city of Görlitz has separated itself from old monument remains. Town hall spokeswoman Annegret Oberndorfer confirms this. “The city has several component warehouses,” she explains. Among other things, components are stored there that cannot be reinstalled into the monument from which they come during renovations. However, the pieces have such great historical or artistic significance that they should be preserved for posterity.
