Well, the former embassies of Latgale Gore executive magazine Private Life met at a celebratory event on the day she was officially released from office.
A year ago, many were surprised by the news that Diāna Zirniņa was suddenly removed from the Latgale embassy Gore manager’s position. For less than 13 years, she managed the cultural site known as the cultural symbol of Latgale, but Rēzekne municipality believes that the profit was not enough and Zirniņa lacks financial knowledge. This decision sparked heated debate, with many siding with Diana.
On the day of January, when the program of Latvian Radio 3 Classic celebrated the anniversary, Zirniņa officially became unemployed.
“The year has started a little weak for me, but still hopeful,” she said during the break at the event.
She does not hide that she is happy after what happened.
“I am very worried about what will happen to the team that is still in my heart.
I hope that the leading people of the city and the country will sit down at the same table and finally sort things out, so that we can move on and think not about indulging someone, but about things that the region and the country need,” says Diana.
She admits that she has not yet thought about where her path will lead next. Maybe it’s the right time to just stop, take a breath and organize your thoughts? To that she answers: «It already happened during the concert, when Pētera Vaska was playing work The fruit of silence… I cried, all my eyes were filled with tears. However, I hope that everything in life happens for the better, it cannot be otherwise. We Latvians are like that – we have to fall to understand where we are going next.”
