CHIMBORAZO.
Last Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., in the Hall of the Government of Chimborazo, the delivery of humanitarian aid and donations to the Alausí and Cumandá cantons was carried out by the Minister of Government.
In the Governorate of Chimborazo, humanitarian aid was delivered to the Alausí and Cumandá cantons, affected by inclement weather. Governor Rodrigo Fabricio Cáceres Veloz received prominent authorities for this act of support.
The Undersecretary of GADs of the Ministry of Government of Ecuador, María Fernanda Durán, led a delegation that included representatives of the Governorates of Cotopaxi, led by Iván Navas, and of Tungurahua, with Santiago Vargas. Together, they arrived with donations of food and supplies for the communities hit by the strong winter in Alausí and Cumandá.
In a gesture of collaboration, representatives of the Association of Municipalities of Ecuador (AME), Conagopare Chimborazo, the Mayor of Alausí, Remigio Roldán, and delegates of the Zonal Coordinations of the Deconcentrated Executive were present at the symbolic delivery ceremony.
Rodrigo Cáceres, in his speech, highlighted the importance of coordination between authorities and the active presence of the Executive in the territory, underlining the value of solidarity in times of adversity.
The donations received at the Government included a dump truck and 4 trucks loaded with food kits and supplies, reflecting the commitment of institutions and society to support those who need it most in difficult times.
