The government has approved holidays for 2022, according to its Telegram channel. New Year’s holidays will last from 1 to 9 January. December 31, 2021 will also be a day off. May holidays will last from April 30 to May 3 and from May 7 to 10.
The weekend of January 1 and 2, which coincides with public holidays, will be postponed to May 3 and 10, respectively. Saturday, March 5th, will be rescheduled to Monday, March 7th.
In honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day, there will be only one day off – February 23, Wednesday. In honor of International Women’s Day, Russians will have a rest from 6 to 8 March. On the Day of Russia, the days off will be from 11 to 13 June. On the Day of National Unity, Russians will have a rest from 4 to 6 November. There will be six short working weeks in 2022 due to the holiday weekend.
The November holidays will run from November 4 (Friday) to November 6 (Sunday).
