© Reuters. Government extends until the second period for companies to join Desenrola
The Ministry of Finance extended until Monday (September 12, 2023) the deadline for creditors to register on the debt renegotiation platform of the Desenrola Brasil program. Companies had until yesterday (September 9) to enter the system and update debt amounts.
According to the government, creditors must access the website using the eCNPJ with a digital certificate. Banks, retailers, energy distributors and water and sanitation companies are companies that can join Desenrola. Here is the full note (PDF –55 kB).
On September 7, Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks) announced that R$ 11.7 billion had already been renegotiated by financial institutions through Desenrola Brasil.
The values correspond to range 2 – those with a monthly income of up to R$20,000. Here is the full statement (PDF –42 kB).
Debtors’ accession to Desenrola will continue until December 31st. The government’s debt renegotiation program was instituted in July.
The expectation, however, was that it would be released in February, but the schedule was delayed.
