Amar Bangladesh Party has protested in the capital in protest against the government party’s killings by terrorists to suppress the quota reform movement. On Tuesday (July 16) afternoon, the program was carried out in Vijayanagar area of the capital.
AB party joint convener, Supreme Court senior lawyers Advocate Tajul Islam and BM Nazmul Haque, member secretary Mojibur Rahman Manju and joint member secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad spoke in the rally before the protest march.
Advocate Tajul Islam said, at a time when students across the country are agitating for a logical demand for quota reform, the prime minister has belittled the students as ‘Razakar’s children’. The police and Chhatra League have been used on ordinary students. To suppress the quota reform movement, the ruling party is carrying out killings with terrorists. Chhatra League goons did not stop at attacking ordinary students in the university campus, they even attacked hospitals.
He said, those involved in this attack will face trial in the anti-humanity tribunal.
Mujibur Rahman Manju said that A. League has ruined the honor of freedom fighters through various crimes including extortion in the name of freedom fighters, making a list of fake freedom fighters with bribes and giving them jobs. Razakar’s character is revealed in the way they used Chhatra League on innocent students. The Prime Minister called ordinary students ‘Rajakar’s children’, while he himself is the patron of Rajakar. He himself married his daughter to Razakar’s son. His current press secretary himself said his father was the chairman of the peace committee. This government started making a list of Razakars, after making a list of 11 thousand people only 6 thousand were found to be A.League leaders and activists. Then they canceled the list.
He condemned the killing of 6 students and injuring many students in various places including Dhaka, Chittagong, Rangpur by firing indiscriminately on the students. He vowed the fall of fascism for every drop of blood and every martyr’s life.
Barrister Fuad said, ordinary students have started a new liberation war in Bangladesh. The war that crippled the liberation war business of Awami East India Company. This movement to reform student quota is a movement to establish the rights of children of ordinary working people.
After the rally, a protest procession went around important roads of the capital including Vijaynagar, Kakrail, Paltan, Press Club. When the procession reached Vijaynagar, Nationalist Democratic Movement-NDM President Bobby Hajjaz and People’s Rights Council President Nurul Haque Noor took part.
