Kuwait City: Action taken against expatriates who assaulted officials of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Kuwait. The natives of Egypt attacked the officials who were conducting inspections in Dajij area of ​​Farwaniya governorate.

While conducting a search in the Dajij area, officers saw an Egyptian national smoking inside a shop. Officials asked the Egyptian national not to smoke as it is illegal to smoke in enclosed spaces. But the expatriate, who was enraged by this, attacked the officer and called other expatriates as well. Then 10 natives of Egypt beat up the officials.

After this, the officials registered a case against the expatriates. A case was registered against the non-residents by including the medical report. Then the non-residents involved in the incident were arrested. They were accused of obstructing the work of officials, not following the laws of the country and assaulting government officials. The arrested expatriates will be deported.

The other day, natives of Kuwait clashed in the middle of the road. Kuwaiti police have arrested several people involved in the beating that took place in Jahra governorate. Meanwhile, one of the accused had crossed with the police patrol vehicle. The incident took place in Saad Al Abdullah area. A patrol team from the police station immediately reached the spot following the information that stoning was going on. A man assaulted a police officer during a scuffle involving several people. The patrol vehicle ran away.

Then other police patrol vehicles followed him. The police vehicle driven by the accused crashed into the roadside lamp post. The vehicle was damaged. After this he was arrested. Everyone in the gang was caught. They are natives of Kuwait. All those arrested have been handed over to the concerned departments for further legal action, the Home Ministry said. The investigation into the incident is in progress.
