The action of the Tocantins government, through the State Secretariat of Labor and Social Development (Setas), will soon distribute R$4 million to the population. The municipalities will be responsible for distributing the resources. With this initiative, the amount of R$3,961,440 was distributed among 118 municipalities. The cities that will receive the amount are classified as small size I and II, medium and large size.
The amount refers to occasional benefits, aiming to meet the basic human needs of the population of Tocantins in unexpected situations. To request the amount, citizens must contact the Social Assistance units in their respective municipalities.
Payments will be authorized in situations of temporary vulnerability, to face risk situations and public calamities. Therefore, the transfer must also occur in the event of the death of family members who were providers, for example.
What is the stipulated value for each municipality?
As previously stated, the values were divided according to the size of each municipality. In this way, 109 cities considered small, received R$32,400 each. Other small municipalities II received R$43.2 thousand each. Additionally, 1 medium-sized municipality received R$51.8 thousand. And, 1 large municipality received the amount of R$ 75.6 thousand.
It is important to highlight that small cities I have up to 20 thousand inhabitants, while small cities II have between 20,001 and 50 thousand inhabitants. Medium-sized cities have 50,001 to 100 thousand inhabitants, and large cities can reach up to 900 thousand inhabitants.
