If their demands are not met, they will take further action.

Chennai: Due to lack of drivers, conductors and technical staff in government transport corporations, buses have stopped running at many places. Therefore, the process of appointing 40 percent of the people on contract basis has started.

CITU, Transport Union General Secretary Arumuga Nayanar said:

Tripartite talks are going to be held in Chennai today.

In this, Transport Corporation officials, Labor Welfare Department officials and trade union officials will participate. If our demands are not accepted, we will proceed to the next step.
