Governor CP Radhakrishnan said on Thursday that the Governor’s House did not interfere in the matter of the arrest of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soran by the enforcement department.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soran has resigned from his post following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate on the 31st in an illegal money transaction case related to the land scam.

He, who is currently in court custody, participated and voted on Monday in the confidence vote of the government led by the new Chief Minister Sambai Soran.

Speaking in the debate on the referendum, Hemant Soran alleged that the Governor’s House was instrumental in the central government’s conspiracy to arrest me.

Denying this, Governor Radhakrishnan gave an explanation to reporters, ‘Has the Governor’s House abused its power in the matter of Hemant Soran’s arrest? There is no question. We are strictly following every democratic norms.

The ruling house did not ask Hemant Soran to resign as chief minister. Instead, we got information from the Chief Minister’s office that he himself was going to resign.

Subsequently, there was a delay in inviting Sambai Soran to form the government due to the need for legal advice. However, he was invited to form the government in 26 hours,’ he said.
