More than 562 thousand preschool, primary and secondary school students returned to classes this Monday and from the municipality of Rioverde, the Governor of the State, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, officially declared the 2024-2025 school year inaugurated, where he reaffirmed the commitment to bring more support to girls, boys and adolescents in educational matters through infrastructure, education and social programs.
From the Deportivo Ferrocarrilero in Rioverde and before representatives of the educational structure of the State Government’s Education Secretariat (SEGE), the Regular State Education System (SEER), as well as the Executive Committees of sections 26 and 52 of the National Union of Education Workers, the President highlighted the importance of continuing to prepare children and youth so that they can take advantage of the development and modernization of the State.
At the event, in response to the need to promote the development of girls and boys, provide support to the family economy and prevent dropouts and educational lag, Governor Gallardo Cardona delivered more than a thousand school packages, to meet the state goal of 300 thousand backpacks, 150 thousand shoes and 220 thousand notebooks and supplies as part of the “Potosí for Education” program.
Finally, amidst the recognition of mothers and fathers for the support provided, the Governor of the State congratulated the 41 thousand teachers, directors, supervisors and educational support staff of the four regions, who will guide and educate the people of San Luis Potosí in the future, taking advantage of the development and modernization that San Luis Potosí has had, “let us support future generations with the necessary elements so that their greatest concern is to improve themselves,” he said.
