1. Question: On your seventieth birthday, Which of the gifts given by the volunteers impressed you??
Answer: Can there be a greater gift than to choose me, one of you, to be your leader?
2. Question: What would you say about your alliance leaders in one line??
Answer: They are the sign of ‘shoulder shoulder companion’!
3. Question: Rural parents, student, Have the students become aware of the “Naan Multuvan” scheme??
Answer: Well done! More than 17 lakh students in 1300 Arts, Science and Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu have benefited since the scheme was launched on March 1 last year till March 1 this year. This program is for all students. Urban students are more likely to go to coaching centers. Rural students need the ‘Naan Muluvan’ program the most. I am keeping this project under my constant watch, which will make all the youth of Tamil Nadu say I am the first.
4. Question: Recently the constitution bench of the Supreme Court has said that governors should not interfere in politics… Central BJP. Do you think the governors of the state will listen to this??
Answer: Looking at the activities so far, the governors have only lip service; It appears that there are no ears.
5. Question: What do you think about Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s arrest??
Answer: This is an example of BJP threatening opposition parties not indirectly but openly. They are using the investigative bodies at their disposal only for political purposes. Arrest of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is condemnable. I have written a letter to the Prime Minister in this regard. Opposition parties can be defeated through elections and should not be defeated through commissions of inquiry.
6. Question: What is your opinion on the election results of North Eastern states??
Answer: BJP has won through election strategies. BJP in Tripura Due to the division of the opposition votes by the Dibra Motha party, the Congress-Left team accepted the defeat and allowed the BJP to win. BJP in alliance with Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party in Nagaland. They have won. This victory would not have been achieved if the alliance had not been formed. Why people who talk about Tripura, Nagaland don’t talk about Meghalaya? Total constituencies in that state are 59.
BJP contested in all 59 constituencies and won only two seats. The BJP is projecting itself as the ruling party in Meghalaya by extending its support to the majority National People’s Party. They build these kinds of images and pretend that they are constantly winning.
7. Question: I saw on television that you inaugurated the Keezadi Museum. It is very grand?
Answer: Go see it in person and you will be amazed. From the time we were in the opposition, we were constantly speaking for the grassroots in the Legislative Assembly – the People’s Forum. It was only because of our continued insistence that the excavation took place. I continued to request that a museum be established there. They just laid the foundation stone and did not do any work. As soon as we came to power, we accelerated that work and have now completed it. When I opened the museum and started looking around, I couldn’t move. It was like watching everything. 2600 years ago, our government has discovered, collected and exhibited what the people who lived in the lower reaches used. Out of curiosity, I stopped at each place and took a selfie. I was proud to know how civilized and cultured the Tamils were. The museum is equipped with video, touch screen and 3D technology. If the public writes their name on the touch screen, provision has been made to see their name in Tamil script. Let’s keep saying this. Everyone go and see. All Tamilians of the world should come down at least once in their life. Similarly, I would like to share with you that Porunai Museum is also being prepared in Nella.
8. Question: Yesterday was Women’s Day. What would you like to say to your daughter??
Answer: It is my intention that all women should rise up to be men of courage who fear no one in the land of upright dress – face to face. All women should study and get higher education. Go to the appropriate jobs. My request is that they should not stop with marriage – children – family, but contribute to society throughout their life. I would like to give a piece of advice to men rather than to women… There is a change in men’s view of women – this is my advice to men.
9. Question: A false news is being systematically spread that northern workers are being attacked in Tamil Nadu?
Answer: People from different states have been living in Tamilnadu for ages. They were never affected. In the last few years many people are coming in search of work. They have no influence in any town in Tamil Nadu. But some people are making fake videos and spreading lies. The fact that the BJP officials from the northern states have done this is intentional! If you have noticed the spread of such a lie the day after I highlighted the need for all-India political movements to unite against the BJP, you will understand the intrigue behind this. When I got this news, I immediately inquired if any workers were affected. I have also informed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar that there was no disturbance at any place. Tamilnadu police chief has given due explanation. Bihar officials have also visited here and left with full satisfaction. Regarding Tamil Nadu, everyone will say that ‘Tamil Nadu is the place where the birds live’. Tamil Nadu – Tamils love unity and brotherhood. People who have high thoughts like ‘Pirbokkum Ella Vyokkum’ – ‘Yadum Ure Yavaru Kalir’. This is well known to the northern state brothers here.
10. Question: Cooking gas cylinder price has been hiked again?
Answer: Do you know what BJP says that they have developed India? When BJP came to power in 2014, the price of a cylinder was Rs 414. Now the price of a cylinder is Rs 1,118 50 paise. When the BJP came to power, the price of a liter of petrol in Chennai was 72 rupees 26 paise. Now the price is 102 rupees 63 paise. A liter of diesel costs Rs 55 49 paise in Chennai. Now the price is 94 rupees 24 paise. When BJP came to power, the central government’s debt was 54 lakh crore rupees. The current debt is Rs 147 lakh crore. That’s three times as much! This is the development achieved by BJP in India!
