It seems that no one on behalf of the government is participating in the Pongal festival that is being held at the Governor’s House in Guindy, Chennai.

During the governor’s speech of the Legislative Assembly session, in the statement issued on behalf of the government, the governor replaced words like Tamilnadu, equality and Periyar in his speech. Many DMK alliance parties condemned this.

Also, the invitation card for the function to be held at the Tamil Nadu Governor’s House on the occasion of Pongal festival did not include the logo of the Tamil Nadu government. Instead there was a central government logo. This too was condemned by the DMK alliance party.

However, last year the Governor House Pongal festival invitation card featured the logo of the Tamil Nadu government.

Thus, it was said that the activities of the Governor were contrary to the activities of the Government of Tamil Nadu. In this case, the Pongal ceremony started this evening at the Governor’s House. It is said that no one participated on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government.
