Governor’s move to end drugs ravaging north – soon

by time news

Six types of drugs are consumed in the Northern Province. Only one of them comes by sea. Other drugs come by land.

We cannot sit idly by and watch this. Northern Province Governor Jeevan Thiagaraja has said that we will continue to take all preventive measures.

Drug trade

He said this while commenting on the sale and consumption of drugs which has become a hot topic in the case.

He added, “We have paid a lot of attention to the drug trade in the North. This is a very sad thing.

Here, some youth inject drugs into the body. Desikai drink is also served along with it.

I went to the Jaffna prison and saw young people who had been arrested and detained for drug problems.

Talking to them, who brings the drugs? I was able to find out some things about who is doing the selling.

Based on this, we are now identifying and arresting drug users.

Investigations are being conducted with the arrested users in relation to the drug dealers.

Cash flow betrays drug sales. Many will be trapped by it.
